UCSB students present, publish papers

Lynnette Arnold's article "Reproducing Actions, Reproducing Power: Local Ideologies and Everyday Practices of Participation at a California Community Bike Shop" was published in the Journal of Linguistic Anthropology, 22(3): 137-158, 2012. Photos from her field site appear on the journal cover.

Don Daniels was married to Kelsey Coker on December 29 in Taylorville, Illinois.
 
Daisy Rosenblum presented a paper entitled "Accessing dialect diversity through multi-media documentation of traditional ecological knowledge" as part of the LSA organized symposium "Multimedia Linguistic Documentation and Analysis," a special joint session of the Linguistic Society of America and the Society for the Study of Indigenous Languages of the Americas, at the Annual Meeting of the Linguistic Society of America in Boston in January.
 
Daisy Rosenblum presented a paper entitled "Argument structure and passive constructions in K?ak'?ala" at the UC Berkeley Department of Linguistics Syntax Circle in November. 
 
Daisy Rosenblum presented "Auxiliación: el surgimiento de un paradigma" at the 1st International Conference on Yucatec Linguistics at El Colegio de México in October.
 
Di Wdzenczny presented a poster entitled "Syntax and Frequency: The shaping of initial consonant mutation" at the Annual Meeting of the Linguistic Society of America in Boston in January.
