The ESL Program offers instruction in English for Academic Purposes to undergraduate and graduate students. These courses prepare students for the kinds of reading, thinking and writing demanded of them in other university courses.

Note that the program does not offer a certificate or degree in the teaching of English as a second language. A TESL Certificate Program is available from the University Extension

English Language Placement Exam (ELPE): Fall 2009

Fall ELPEs will take place on Friday, September 18,2009,from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. Graduate students will meet in Girvetz 1004, and undergraduates, in Girvetz 2128.
