Late homework policy

If you can't turn a homework in on time, you need a written excuse (e.g. a doctor's note). Unexcused late homeworks (before the last class meeting) will receive 50% credit.

due in section the week of 1/22

Find a text of about a page. Any kind is fine (be creative!), but you'll want to make sure that it contains some clear examples of metaphor.

Locate at least five uses of metaphor in the text. For each instance, identify the source domain and the target domain of the metaphor. Be as specific as possible about what the source and target domains are.

Write it up, using a list format. Put your name and the section you attend at the top. The assignment should be typed, about one page in length, with the text attached.
