Last week, the Canadian government and the timber industry announced an agreement under which some 3.5 million acres of ancient coastal rainforest in British Columbia -- an area twice the size of Yellowstone National Park -- would be declared off-limits to loggers. Known as the Great Bear Rainforest, the protected region is the world's largest remaining contiguous temperate rainforest -- and the home to some extremely rare and endangered wildlife, including white spirit bears, grizzly bears, salmon and eagles.

End of the world final date(my guess): December 20, 2012. The mayans predicted this long before we thought of millenium. They predicted the fifth era would end on this date of another major disaster. Give or take a few months, its a pretty good date. Right now we've got global warming(topping the record in NYC, 90 degrees on May 2 and 3). As far as I know, a dying species tends to live longer than the predicted extinction date, namely 2000. Good luck and I hope this theory is false cause im 12 and: 12+11=23. I will onyl live about 1/5th of my life aaaaaargh. If its true im gonna party and have *** until I pop and suicide(j/k lol)
