Suggestions and Guidelines for this Supplemental Website.
If you are an experienced user of web browsers, you should find no surprises here.
The Reinventing Identities website presents a variety of webpages, presenting
content supplemental to the essays in the Reinventing Identities text.
The site is organized like the text, in twenty chapters. For some chapters,
there is no supplemental information: for others, information of several types
is presented. To access that information, select a chapter; on the main page for the chapter,
select a button for the type of information you are interested in.
- Three frames are presented:
- a navigation bar, listing chapter titles and authors' names, on the left;
- a list of chapter numbers on the bottom;
- information supplemental to the contents of Reinventing Identities, in the center.
Adjust the relative sizes of frames to best fit your monitor size and your interest in one frame or another:
- Use your browser's "View" option to increase or decrease the default size of text;
- Position your cursor over the line separating frames. When the cursor becomes a double arrow,
right mouse click and drag it to reposition the line separating frames.

By following the links presented here, you are likely to be asked whether a file you
are interested in should be copied to your disk. If this is a file of permanent interest to you,
such as a software product you are downloading, you should allow it to be copied to your disk; if it is a file
of only momentary interest, such as an audio or video clip you wish to examine one time,
you should select the alternative of having it loaded from its location on the World Wide Web and
not stored on your disk. Please be certain you have anti-virus protection before
executing anything downloaded from the World Wide Web.
