The second Cognition and Language Workshop (CLaW) will be held on August 31 and September 1, 2013, at the University of California, Santa Barbara. CLaW is a conference dedicated to the relationship between language and cognition. We welcome papers approaching this issue from any angle. See the call for papers for more details.

CLaW is organized by SCUL (Studying the Cognitive Underpinnings of Language), an interdisciplinary research group at the University of California, Santa Barbara. We are interested in studying language as a cognitive activity as well as studying cognition as a dimension of language. SCUL's focus includes all linguistic subfields, as well as intersections of linguistics with other branches of cognitive science (e.g., psychology, computer science).
